Microsoft: If Internet Explorer Can’t Be Secure, Then No Browser Can!

You remember all that great free software that came with the hidden cost of also installing something you didn't ask for? Well, just when I thought I had long put all that old early 21st. Century malware and spyware mess behind me by switching from Internet Explorer to the ever popular Firefox Browser, it's ba'ack... Only this time, Microsoft isn't the victim--it's the culprit.
According to the Washington Post, a recent Microsoft Windows Update surreptitiously installed an unsolicited Firefox extension which is "difficult -- if not dangerous -- to remove...".
Annoyances.org, reports that "this update adds to Firefox one of the most dangerous vulnerabilities present in all versions of Internet Explorer: the ability for Web sites to easily and quietly install software on your PC."
